Hi - Dave here.

Happy Friday!

In my last email, we looked at how you can create a list of workdays using SEQUENCE and the WORKDAY.INTL function.

One cool feature of WORKDAY.INTL is that it has a special trick that allows you to define any day of the week as a workday.

This makes it possible to list custom days, like Tuesdays and Thursdays, or Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The worksheet below shows an example.

Formula to list Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays only

[Download the workbook and read the full explanation]

Note the code inside the formula is "0101011". This tells WORKDAY.INTL to only allow Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. See the article for more details. The SEQUENCE function requires Excel 2019 or later, but the attached worksheet contains formulas for older versions of Excel. Click the link above to read the full article and download the workbook.

We maintain a list of over 500 working formulas here.

If you need more structure, we also offer video training.

Have a great weekend!
