Hi - Dave here.
Happy Friday!
Did you know that TEXTSPLIT can handle
multiple delimiters?
This sounds super boring and technical, but it is actually quite useful!
The video below explains with two examples. In the first example, the text contains inconsistent delimiters, and we configure TEXTSPLIT step-by-step to handle each variation. In the second example, the source text contains unwanted labels, and we use TEXTSPLIT to remove the labels and split the text
simultaneously. You can use this trick to wow colleagues at work :)

This video is part of our course on Dynamic Array Formulas, which covers new advanced formulas in Excel. If you already own this course, you'll find this new video in the Text Functions section. Excel has changed a lot in the last few years and Dynamic Arrays are the biggest change to Excel's formula engine ever. They are a huge upgrade to what you can do with formulas in Excel.
Note: TEXTSPLIT is only available in Excel 365.
